As a photographer in Dallas, Tx, I provide clients beautiful pictures that capture a special moment in time. The Experience
Whether you are booking with me for a maternity or newborn session (or both!), we will be communicating before the session to make sure it is everything you want it to be. I send a questionnaire over to you that asks all of the important questions that help me plan our session. Some of the things we discuss are colors and themes, as well as what you plan on doing with your images. If your goal is to have art on the wall, think about the colors that are currently around your home so you can make sure they will flow together well. We decide on a gown from my client closet during this time, and also plan whether you will have hair and makeup done prior to the session. A location is selected during this time as well.
Since pregnancy and baby sessions are typically booked months in advance, you might not hear from me for a while. But I am always just an email away if you have any questions or come up with a special idea. I love hearing from my clients and sharing in this exciting time with them!
Your maternity session will either be photographed on location outdoors, or in a studio around the Dallas area. We celebrate the baby (or babies) to come by photographing you as a couple, as well as on your own, with special attention given to your beautiful bump. These sessions are typically about an hour long, and we will walk around our location a little so we can have a variety of backgrounds in your gallery. Children and pets are welcomed, as well, as they are an important part of your family and also excited about their littlest sibling!
Your in-home newborn session will take place around 9 days after your baby is born. I bring my studio items to you, and set them up while your little one is being fed. Then I will spend 2-3 hours capturing all of their little details- including the eyelashes, fingers, profile, and feet. I have a few different set ups I bring, including a few props, and will patiently work with your baby at their pace. We will also capture lifestyle family pictures in your home, typically in the master bedroom, nursery, and/or living room. This includes images of parents individually with baby, as well as siblings.
Within two weeks of your session, you will receive a link to a private, online gallery with all of your edited images. After viewing a beautiful slideshow with images from your session, you are able to select the collection that works best for your family. Once your collection has been purchased, you are able to add extra digitals, wall art, and additional albums to your cart. If your collection comes with an album, I start designing it right away, and send over proofs for you to modify as needed.

My clients often comment on my calm and quiet demeanor, and how well I work with their little ones. Not only have I had my own two babies to teach me how to be patient, but I also taught 5th grade for 9 years in Flower Mound. I loved working with those kids, and they definitely taught me the meaning of patience and the benefits of being still.

Safety
Safety is my priority above all else. I wear a mask with newborns and bring only props and items that have been properly cleaned and sanitized. When I work with your baby on poses, I take my time, gauge their comfort, and work with them. Some images are photographed and edited as a composite, so hands are on baby at all times.

For newborns, I bring my studio straight to your home, which allows me to provide beautiful studio style portraits of your baby, as well as lifestyle family pictures.
