Capturing the Details Before Baby Grows Up

This precious little girl was photographed two weeks ago up near Denton, and we finally got to have her reveal session the other day. I adore how the pink was so feminine and dainty with her. When parents don’t have a specific idea in mind, I love to play around with colors and tones.  This monotone color palette really let me focus on just her, and the images turned out so beautifully.

I tend to really enjoy capturing those little newborn details.  I almost always capture those back rolls, little lips, and feet.  Whether it’s the wrinkly bottoms of the feet, or the teeny tiny toes, they are just precious and I can’t resist!  They all change so fast when a baby is young, and they don’t keep those details for too long.  I also capture whatever hair they have – whether it’s none at all, or a newborn mohawk. Believe it or not, they might lose that hair before it starts growing back – so it won’t necessarily stay around as they grow!  One other detail I love capturing is their eyelashes.  Something about how beautiful and perfect they are just always pulls at me.  Little newborns have some of the best lashes I’ve ever seen!
