How to Include Your Partner in the Celebration
Your Partner CAN Be a Part of Your Maternity Session
Planning a maternity session can be so much fun, because you are celebrating this new baby that will soon join your family. I love including partners in the session, too! It’s so important to remember how your family was before your newborn was added to it. I typically shoot about 85% of my session with just momma and baby, but I also make sure to capture your partner. It’s so fun once your child is older to show them their “first” family picture! Both parents are just filled with that wonderful energy and excitement. It’s such an amazing time!
It’s Okay, They Don’t Have to Like Pictures
So many times my client might love pictures, but their partner really, really doesn’t. It’s okay! I focus mostly on Mom and her sweet baby bump. Her partner is included a little closer to the end of the session, and that’s it. I will tell them exactly what to do, where to put their hands, what to look at. And the final images will be beautiful!

Surrogacy is such an amazing gift to give a family. I would be honored to capture your pregnancy with baby’s family. It is still such a special time for everyone – the family is getting a precious little one, and you are taking an amazing journey for them.
