Who I Am and Why I Love Newborn Photography
Hi there! My name is Melinda, and I’m a photographer based in Flower Mound, Texas. Prior to my photography business, I was a 5th grade teacher in the Lewisville school district. I loved working with those kids, but when I had my son I started taking pictures of him, and fell in love with photography. I eventually quit teaching to stay home with him, and a few years later I had a daughter as well. They are now 6 and 2, and challenge me and bring me joy every day. My son loves hockey and plays on a team out of Frisco, and my daughter is rambunctious and loves gymnastics, although she might start hockey in a few years, too.
Babies are such an amazing age group to be able to work with. Newborns change so fast, and I love being able to capture the little details that you will always want to remember. The way her hair sticks out, or his exceptionally long little fingers, or those little baby feet. I really appreciate the time I get to spend with little ones who are new to the world, and being able to provide Mom and Dad with beautiful pictures, albums, and artwork that really capture their baby how he is right then.
My newborn sessions are planned out in advance with my clients. I love being able to incorporate details like favorite flowers, colors, or hobbies, so they are truly customized for you. If you’d like to know more about a session, just let me know and I will get you more information!
